The Story Behind Urban Art Collective
Located in the heart of historic downtown Chamblee, Urban Art Collective is a vibrant destination for art lovers to experience the Atlanta art scene up close. The space was originally built in 2008 by visionary Margaret Taylor, founder of Dryads Dancing.

Inspired by the turn of the century architecture she admired during trade shows in New York City, Margaret designed the building to evoke the classic style of an old industrial factory. Her design seamlessly mirrors the historic brick aesthetic of old Chamblee, creating a natural home for creativity that sits just north of the Antique District along the railroad tracks. This space quickly evolved into a thriving hub for over 35 local working artist studios.

Today, the Collective brings together a diverse community of creatives producing original fine art, paintings, sculpture, jewelry, photography, stained glass, and one of a kind works.

Studio visits are available by appointment only, offering collectors and visitors a personal opportunity to connect directly with the artists.

Urban Art Collective also hosts seasonal Art Walks open to the public throughout the year. Join our mailing list or follow us on social media to stay updated on upcoming events, Art Walk dates, and visiting opportunities.
